Update on the Slaughter House Halloween Party at Boca!

Did you know Boca is available for private parties? Call (201) 626-6646, facebook message us or email us at info@bocagrandenj.com for information about office holiday parties, wedding brunches, and more!
We're excited to let you know that three bands will be playing at the Slaughter House Halloween Party this Friday, 10/28!

Charlie Afro Sheen  (11:30pm)
Jersey City's own Charlie Afro Sheen will be opening the night.  This collective started at the Keyhole bar in JC. In the last few months, they have entered the JC fold with a sound and vibe all their own. Anchored by theRAPist (also the lead guitarist for CAS brother band Trash Executioner) accompanied by Chuck Taylor on rhythm guitar, Nitrous Roxide on bass, June Star Mrblackman on lead vocals, and Blunt The Drumma, these musicians come together create a sound that is soulful and charismatic. Six months from the start of this collective and 9 songs later, a new chapter in this downtown legacy is born. Come support live music in Jersey City as charlie Afro sheen play the songs from their soon to be released debut album "Always Lookin for Jesus".

Hollywood Kills
Hollywood Kills is a polished punk rock grunge band out of NJ.  Get ready to rock out with Russell Kelley on vocals, Joe Coelho on bass, Tom Hayes on drums and Aaron Dilorio on guitar.

Iratetion
Being driven towards creating their own music, the Millano brothers did just that. Ismael and Ghork started writing music while one was living in Venezuela and the other in NJ. They began to create their music by sending files to each other over the internet. Ismael handled duties of guitars/bass/vocals so they could be layered over Ghork's drum recordings that were sent from Venezuela.

With the addition of Ismael's old friend Marcos Medina on lead guitar, and Luis Acevedo on bass, Iratetion was complete. Established against all odds, Iratetion has found success, working with Soundwar Studios in Hoboken to record their debut EP titled Motionless Decay, produced by Cristian Machado and Laz Pina (Ill nino). Since then, they've been traveling the Tri-State area with their brutal jungle groove and we're excited to have them back at Boca Grande to get the Slaughter House thrashing.

Boca Grande is now the first east coast carrier of Purple Pachyderm Russian River Valley Rhone Blend from Claypool Cellars.
Starting earlier this month, Boca Grande became the first east coast purveyor of the Purple Pachyderm Russian River Valley Rhone Blend from Claypool Cellars, the Sonoma Valley winery of Les Claypool of the legendary rock band Primus.  Boca Grande will carry the 2009 Rhone Fanci Blend, a combination of 60% Granache, 30% Mouvedre and 10% Syrah.

What started several years ago as a way for Les Claypool to expand his personal wine collection has developed into a “boutique” wine venture for the long time musician and maker of musical mischief. Living for many years in the West Sonoma Valley, Claypool watched the area of Northern California become a “Mecca for those wine geeks that seek out optimum quality Pinot Noir.”  The region, known as the Russian River Valley, produces grapes that are arguably some of the best in the world.

In Claypool's words, “Having forsaken some of my past 'indulgences,' I found myself becoming an avid consumer of wines from my neighborhood.  After kicking the notion around for a year or two with some pals, it eventually came time to dive in and make some 'fancy booze' of our own.”  The result is, in so many words, pretty damn good.

Come and enjoy the results of Les Claypool's labor of love at Boca Grande Mexican Cantina. As Claypool states, “I hope you enjoy the product of our toil and, me being a picky bastard, you should take comfort in the notion that you are drinking from my own personal stash.”
